This group is open to people who think freely, speak their minds, and live life by their own terms.  You'll find people from all walks of life here - polyamory, non-monogamy, foreign ex-pats, naturist, child-free, BDSM, hedonist, GLBT, swingr, trans, CD - and we all have one thing in common: we all live some form of "alternative lifestyle" and have often had to measure carefully what we say and do when socializing amongst the general populace. 

This group was formed as a social outlet for those of us who operate slightly outside mainstream society.  Our events run the spectrum from mild (wine tasting, movie nights) to wild (nudist resorts, fetish clubs) and everything in-between.  The key difference is the very accepting and positive attitude of our members, and knowing that you can speak freely of your chosen lifestyle without fear of being judged.  ***We are a social group, NOT a dating nor "play" group.***  All are welcome; all that's required is a positive, tolerant, and respectful attitude towards all.   

I and my partner had discreetly lived a polyamorous lifestyle for several years.  When we finally had the freedom to live our lifestyle openly, I, in an attempt to make new friends, joined several activity-based meetup groups.  But I simply grew tired of measuring my words around narrow-minded strangers with which I had nothing in common but the activity at hand. Then I thought, there must be other people who feel the same way, people just a little outside the mainstream who wished to find a more open-minded group of friends to share activities with. Thus, the Bon Vivant Social Club of Tampa was born! In other parts of the world, society is much less restrictive, so let's adopt a more European style of living.  Live and let live!

If you want to meet real people who have a lust for life, open minds, quick wits, and active social lives, this is the group for you! Let's make some great friendships where we don't have to measure our words for fear of shocking anyone, drinking is not verboten, and if you want to bring your girlfriend and your boyfriend to events with you, you can!

I'll do my best to fill up the calendar with a variety of events, but this is your community too! Please come forward with your suggestions on events and venues. Use the message boards freely to communicate with your fellow members. I'd like this group to be active and, above all, fun!
