I enjoyed meeting with all of you this evening and look forward to meeting with you again. This evening I recommended the book _What Mattered to Jane Austin_ in preparation to our reading _Emma_. I bought the paperback version of this book in England, but it appears to be available only in hardback here, so it will be more expensive. I looked around to see if there was something on the Web that would summarize the book's content and found a lecture at:
This video lecture is 37 minutes long, followed by a Q&A session that I was too tired to watch. The first ten minutes of the clip are rather introductory, so if you find yourself nodding off, then slide forward. The most important piece for me happens around the 13-minute mark, where Austin's narrative innovations are (very briefly) described. That is what I want to focus on when I reread _Emma_.
The lecturer is knowledgeable, although not particularly dynamic. Nonetheless, you may find this interesting.

Thanks Wanda! Sorry about the misunderstanding. I have no problem paying the 1$ at all. Yes,I did think I was R.S.V.P.'ing for Nov. If you could just count me as a "yes" for Nov. that would be great! Looking forward to seeing everyone in Nov. I will see if I can figure out on my own the method to R.S.V.P. Otherwise, if I am unsucessful,if you can just count me as attending and show me what to do iwhile at Nov.'s meeting. Thanks Again
