Manuscript review and book publishing discussion. Brin

Bring 15 pages of your manuscript and enough copies for everyone. You will read it aloud and we will all give you helpful comments. We will also discuss submission guidelines, what agents do and don't do for you. Query letters will also be reviewed if you bring one to our meeting. Thanks. Jan Kardys

Would have been so great to meet you all! Due to current life circumstances I was unable to attend. Perhaps these circumstances could be good reading for the next meetup! Hope to see you all then.

I wasn't able to make it either because of the driving conditions.

Hi Sorry I did not make it, I drove most of the way but the roads near Ridgefield were getting slick and Iit looked like it would be sticking more, I knew I couldn't sit and listen while worrying about how I would get back. The roads here in Stamford are clear. Maybe next time we should meet further south where the weather is not as precarious! Hope to see you all next time. G

Hi! I am looking forward to meeting everyone and getting much needed feedback. I am a psychotherapist in business for 37 years and am writing a series of interactive e-booklets for grieving children. The 12-part series of pen pal type letters, narrated by Melodee Roo the Tree Kangaroo, follows the grieving process of Apsy the Cassowary whose brother died in an accident.

She and her charming friends the wontoks, help comfort and support Apsy through the ups and downs of grief.

Songs written by David Friedman, renowned composer of Disney songs in movies such as Beauty and the Beast and Alladin are part of the letters. Activities are included for the child to engage in to help guide them in the healing process.

This is my first time as author and am grateful for this opportunity.

Since we have so many people attending, let's just read 5-6 pages but you can bring 20 pages and share them with each writer to help each other. Thanks. See you Saturday. Jan and Jeanne.

Since there are so many people coming this time, what if we each brought five pages and just read them out loud so we wouldn't have to make so any copies!?

I'm looking forward to having the opportunity to share my work with other writers and agents and to hear work from others. I notice 17 people are attending. If all 17 bring 15 pages to read, I don't see how it's feasible to get through all the work and provide comments in the time allotted. In other workshops I've participated in, we struggle to get through 5 shorter, pre-read submissions in a similar amount of time. I'd just like a clearer understanding of the agenda before investing the travel time to Bethel. Thanks.
