Discuss "Outliers" over a cup of tea or other beverage:)

Hi All,

Let's meet to discuss our first nonfiction book, Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell. Last month a few of us checked out The Plum and liked the back covered  patio area with fans. Unless it's ridiculously hot, we'll meet out there. Our fall back position is the small air conditioned room on the left as you enter.

Hope you can make it!

Kind regards,

Kathy

Well sir, I can't answer that question directly, because it was only my first time. What I can say however, is that Outliers attracted me to the group initially and told me that at the very least, this group might provide me with some interesting choice I may not otherwise consider otherwise. Good conversation is a definitive bonus for me.

How do you explain the increased number of participants? Could it be that the engaging non-fiction book posed situations that more people wanted to respond to than other recently books?

Had a great time getting to talk with all of you and hear different perspectives on the book.

Very cool, Bob. Thanks for sharing. I hope your book comes in time. Fortunately, it's a fairly fast read. I'm finding it very interesting.

Have just ordered "Outliers" via Amazon. hope I get it in time. BTW, if anyone wants to take a look at my article published in March, you can download the pdf for free here: http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/asp/jpsp/2014/00000001/00000001/art00002?token=004514ddb6cc67232d45232b45245a6a532c7479563e283568263c7b69fe24aa49e8f I apologize that it's somewhat technical; it's a literature review and meta-analysis regarding cytoproliferative effects of pyrimidine nucleotides.
