Meeting #6 to Discuss The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman

Hello everyone! I hope you all can join us for our February meeting at The Beanery (also known as Allan Bros Coffee). As we discussed, this meeting will be the last Monday in February, but I have changed the location. Oakshire was a bit loud last time, and while I do love that place it was a bit hard to communicate. The Beanery is an awesome coffee shop on 5th St and has ample easy parking and can accommodate a group our size. I plan on arriving a bit early to secure enough tables and seats.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: There are 2 locations of Allan Bros Coffee in Eugene, so if you plug this into your phone or GPS make sure you are headed to the 5th Street location.

I look forward to seeing you all to discuss The Light Between Oceans. Again, please let me know if you have any questions!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all looking forward to the meeting tonight. I am currently unsure of whether I will be there tonight. I am hoping I can get my work obligations under control to be there by 7 or maybe a bit later. There is a chance I won't make it at all, but I won't know until later this afternoon. I hope you all can still attend, and please please please feel free to select a book for March regardless of my presence. I'll do my best to update as I know more.

I have to be somewhere by 8, is it okay if I come just for the first 45 minutes of discussion?

Hi Jessica- As Page said, we are definitely an informal bunch. Any amount of time you can or want to spend is perfectly fine with us! Hope to see you tonight or at our next meeting!

Thanks! I'm only about 150 pages in to the book so I'll hope to make it to the next meeting, and finish the book on time! :)

    Jessica,
Others, myself included, have had to leave early. We are a fairly informal bunch. Hope to see you.

Thanks! I don't know if I'll manage to finish the book by tomorrow, but I'd love to come to the next meeting!

...I've found that Brew Pubs tend to be too noisy for discussions -- would suggest coffee house Theo's (Cozmic Pizza - 8th/Charnelton) (but make sure they're not having live music that night) or New World Bakery on Blair....

If anyone has a library copy, it would be great if you can read and return promptly. I'm on waitlist. Thanks!

A book group I am in read this recently and loved it -- I didn't get a chance to read it, so I hope to be able to get it read by Feb so I can come! Yay!

I'll be there if I can get a copy from the library. I'm on the waitlist. Does anyone have a spare copy?

Yay! Glad we are trying a quieter location for February. Another cool place to consider is Townshend's Teahouse. It's near Broadway and Willamette, next door to the Bijou Metro. Unfortunately it doesn't serve alcohol, but a brew pub (one we were at in December) is very nearby.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
