Our next book will be Cheryl Strayed's Wild, a journey of loss and recovery across the Pacific Crest Trail. Note that this is a change of plans, because Detroit: An American Autopsy is in extremely short supply, as it is not out in paperback, all the library copies are on hold, and the Detroit bankruptcy was announced immediately after we picked the book (!).
I am setting the meetups out a little farther out of consideration to everyone because of this issue.
As usual, this first meetup will be an introductory discussion (avoid spoilers, please), for people at any stage of reading the book (but who hopefully picked it up and opened it!). We will also pick the next book, and we will stick to it, assuming that our pick does not lead to another calamity in the national news like our last pick. Anyone present can nominate a book if they promise to come to the Meetups and contribute. Both fiction and non-fiction are welcomed, as long as books are readily available to buy/lend/borrow.
Location for this meetup to be announced shortly.
