"Boomer Tyme - Gen X - Y Professionals having fun! " Message Board › Boomertyme looking for event hosts
We hosted a double header yesterday for our Boomertyme group. Our next event is at Summit Brewery in May.
We are looking for people to step-up and host future events. A few of you have spoke of hosting brewery tours or other events.
We have taken the group to MOST of the area breweries, and thanks to you, we have an anytime you want to come back policy for all but one… and Surly does not welcome groups!
Hosting is easy, just contact the brewery or place with email and tell them we’d like to bring about 20 people to tour on a Friday evening or Saturday. It’s best if you visit first and talk to someone there.
Then contact us about hosting. We’ll make you an event host on our group so you can post & manage the event. We will also email you a PDF the morning of the event so you will have name tag names and get you labels. Then just show-up and greet people. Our group is GREAT at helping out!
If you go to our TC Couples’ group webpage at http://www.meetup.com... you’ll see what all three of our groups are doing on any date for choosing a date.
Ellen & I will TRY to attend. But with summer coming we are going to do some motorcycling and we are now working at adding more Couples events and Wine Shop events in addition to hosting 3-4 events a month. And Ellen & I don’t really like beer, many of you do!
We don’t need to limit Boomertyme events to breweries. It’s Boomertyme we have no limits like our wine group. You might think of get-togethers at local festivals and picnics, back deck parties, museums, plays, restaurants’, canoe trips or anything can work. And YOU can decide how many people you want at the event.
So get back to us and we’ll support you.
Boomertyme is one of the best politically incorrect group on Meet-up. How many OTHER groups can boast of being kicked out of Sex World! And no it wasn’t Dennis, there was no sign saying it was unacceptable and they DID let us back in. For the full story attend an event… LOL! And YES the 2 cases of beer we made yesterday will be at our Red Solo Cup event in June!
Next Saturday we are taking about 30 people to Cannon Falls Winery Saturday at 1 in The MN Wine Club.
Hope to see you and your friends soon!
Dennis & Ellen
