We should definitely be proud of Virginia Foxx for voting against this bill. I called her office on Monday to thank her for standing up for the people. I’m still on the “High Country Obama” mailing list, despite the nasty emails I have sent them regarding Obama’s record and stances as a puppet for the elite, and boy I wish I could attend their meetings in Old Belk to give them some hell for supporting a candidate who voted for this garbage in the Senate.
Last week, a few of us went to the Greensboro Obama rally and protested there and we had a lot of fun. (We also got a brief spot on the news: http://www.digtriad.com/video/default.aspx?aid=206969) We are trying to set up a Wake Forest Young Americans for Liberty and hopefully will be able to have university recognition by the spring. I hope everything is going well at ASU, and I will be in town this Friday-Saturday for the game if anyone wants to hang out.
Chris Robertson, the Leadership Institute Field Representative for our area, has set up a free class on creating a student-run publication that some of you might be interested in (and you can even get LI to put up a couple hundred dollars to help you start one). I believe it is going to take place this Saturday here at Wake so if you are interested contact me and I can forward you the details.
Have fun watching the debates tonight, I’m sure the whole thing is going to be hilariously stupid and perfect for some drinking games (though we will all miss chugging beer whenever Giuliani mentioned 9/11). Don’t forget to sign up at the new campaignforliberty.com where they have just created an awesome precinct leadership program (similar to the Ron Paul campaign – but more extensive). Keep up the good fight guys!
