One of the world’s leading international lifestyle, fashion & beauty photographers, Atlanta, Georgia native Steve Thornton began his illustrious career as a self-taught and progressive 12 year old shutterbug with a keen and razor sharp eye to detail. As a professional, he has photographed numerous national and international ads, along with feature editorials for celebrated magazines in the United States, Milan, Italy and Paris, France, where he has also lived. These respected magazines include “Teen, Seventeen, Modern Bride, Your Prom and Bride’s" in addition to Western Lifestyle magazines: "Cowboys and Indians, American Cowboy, Western and English and Western Horsemen”.

In addition to Steve’s editorial features, his work has been prominently showcased in the advertising photography arena and corporate settings for respected companies such as General Motors, Hallmark, Citizens, Hyatt and American Express. Steve travels on assignment an average of 175 days a year, mostly in the USA & in Europe. Most of his time abroad, roughly 60-75 days a year, is spent in Milan and Como, Italy. Steve was a winner in the ASMP "Best of 2011" award. The ASMP is an international professional photography guild 7000 members strong.

Steve will open his presentation with a few images other than his western lifestyle photography. He will then follow with about 75 minutes of cowboy imagery. He will feature selected images to discuss how he shot them and he will pause to answer questions about any of his images.

This will be a very special presentation for us. We'll be peeking into the life of a commercial photographer with a chance to view magnificent action photos of my favorite subject: horses.
