September 10th BPG Meeting Open Critique

Each of you may submit 2 digital images for discussion/critique at the September 10th meeting. Once your image is projected onto the theater screen you may describe its photographic qualities: e.g.  what category you consider the image to be (portrait, landscape, photojournalism, environmental portraiture, sports, etc), and your intended subject matter/focal point of the image. Describe any challenges you had in capturing the image, the post processing you used, and any questions you may have. After your comments, the members and the leader of the critiques will make comments.

The 2 images do not have a required theme; they may have been made at any time.

Assign a #1 or a #2 to your image so we'll know which one to project first.  After all of the #1's have been projected/discussed, we'll go through the #2's if time permits.

Submit the images by 11pm on Sunday Sept. 8th by email to: [masked].

I enjoyed the critique, too. Good give and take about effective editing. I appreciated, too, the positive feedback Janice and I received about the upcoming (January) BPG exhibit at the Harris Arts Center. Was glad to be able to share the news that there'll be prizes awarded and hope to see many BPG members represented!

This was my first time attending a discussion/critique session. It was not only informative and educational but also fun. Thanks BPG!

Thank You All. I learned so much last night. The critique was very helpful and really made me realize that MY particular photography can be more than just taking natural pictures. I can create because I am the artist! What an eye opener!

Seeing is believing; a picture is worth a thousand words. That best describes the experience of watching a live critique. John, Mike and Gerard were excellent. And, we all had fun.

Terrific program; great to see and learn about creative ways
of looking at and potentially improving already creative images.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
