Come and join your fellow Borderlinkers for good conversation and good company as we stroll around Miami's newest art museum and, afterwards, walk over to downtown to have lunch.
Part I: 11:00 AM: Touring the Perez Art Museum
This newly minted museum opened in December 2013. It features contemporary art but the highlight could quite possibly be the building and exhibit space itself, designed by the famous Swiss architects Herzog and de Mueron.
2nd Saturdays are free.
There is limited parking near the museum but it fills up very quickly. I would suggest parking your car at one of the nearby city lots (e.g. Omni Garage at the Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Blvd or the Government Center, at 138 NW Third Street: there is a huge parking lot on 2nd street behind the library) and taking the free Metromover to the Museum Park exit).

Part II: Lunch: 1 PM
The museum has a restaurant but there are too many of us for their limited seating capacity. Let's plan on getting our food at the museum's grab and go sandwich/coffee stand and have our lunch on the patio in front of the restaurant.
A brief note: This is one of those really fun but utterly chaotic Borderlink events where our large number, a large space and large crowds invariably lead to group separation. After the group introductions we'll most likely be wandering around in small groups as our muse directs us. I'll not be at this event but we'll have a few hosts (Ben, Alexis, Kathy, Susan and Paty) to introduce newcomers to our group at our rendezvous in front of the museum at 11:00 a.m. Please be on time otherwise you may not know which of the museum attendees belong to our merry band. In any event, you may want to bring along a buddy!
