Sure, Miami is known worldwide for it's fast pace, South Beach pleasures and anything goes nightclubs but don't be fooled my friends there are deeper veins that run through our city with entertainment of a different sort.
One of the simple pleasures for many of us growing up is making a quiet renaissance in our country. Once upon a time, before the instant ping pinging of text messages, facebook and emails, quality time meant sitting around a table and horsing around with friends and families while playing board games. Join us as we turn off our smart phones for a few hours and play some of the hottest new board games to come out of Europe in the past few years. Be forewarned, these games are not of the Monopoly, Life and Stratego variety but deeper games that involve strategy and tactics which usually take 2-3 hours to play. Plan to spend most of the afternoon and early evening with us as we try to play at least two games.
We'll be ordering pizza as the evening progresses.
Costs: Approximately $15/person, cash only please (to pay for pizzas and tables/chairs rentals).

The Speil Des Jahres is the premier international board game awards published each year from Germany. We'll be breaking out into groups of 4-6 players to play some of the games that won the best game of the year awards including Pandemic, Settlers of Catan and the 7 Ages of Wonder.
