Syrah, or Shiraz, is a dark-skinned grape grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce powerful red wines. Shiraz should not be confused with Petite Sirah, a synonym for Durif, a cross of Syrah with Peloursin dating from 1880.
We are exploring the area outside of Boston for this tasting. Thomas is going to host twenty lucky people at his place in Acton. Though a bit of a drive, it will be a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and evening.
Please bring a ~$20 bottle of Australian Shiraz (Not Petite Sirah) to share as well as 4 wine glasses, and $10 to reimburse Thomas for providing snacks.
The address will be mailed to attendees, please only RSVP if you intend to make it, as it is disrespectful to both the host and other group members if you don't show.
People in Boston can coordinate drivers to carpool. Let's get tasting...
