Wines From Down Under

  • Aug 23, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • Ragav's Place

Australian or New Zealand wines of all types are welcome for this tasting.

The structure will be more of an independent tasting with guests allowed to try all wines, unblinded, in whatever order they deem necessary.

Ragav requests you bring a bottle of wine from New Zealand or Australia ranging from Whites (Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay) to Reds (Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cab, and Cab blends).

Should be an excellent party!

I do so want to attend one of these, but never know when? Am I supposed to get a "heads-up" email? They are always full. Maybe I should look at the calendar. The two meet-up in October and November are sold out :( When does the calendar for December come out?

    Thanks,
    Jeanine

Thanks Ragav for hosting, I tried some great new wines & enjoyed the company. Lots of really nice folks.

I echo the sentiments of others in that it was very nice to connect with new folks and reconnect with some I already know. And now I know a little bit more of wines from down under. Ragav as usual provided the necessary tools and ingredients to cook up a fun and great evening. Thank you.

For me there were too many wines that you really didn't get a chance to try them all.
This meetup was for the friendship and the meeting of new people. Because it was wines rom down under, there was a multitude of shiraz. But 4 bottles, both red and white , stood out from the rest including the home brewed beer.

HI, my daughter lives in Arlington. Once I have the final address, I'll drive to her place and have her drop me off and then pick me back up. I live in Revere and I would have room for 2, if not from
    the north shore, from Alewife.

I bought a bottle of 19 Crimes last week. I'll bring that. The label says that this wine celebrates the rules they broke and the culture they built. I'll have to think of something to pair it with.
