Monthly Clojure Meetup

We are back at Akamai for Clojure meetups. We'll be meeting in the conference rooms on the second floor (200C/D).

A big thank you to Basho for hosting the last several meetups.

Please join us for a night of Clojure discussion and networking.

Meet & Greet starts at 6:00. Speakers/Hackfests will begin at 6:30.

Speakers or Hackfest topics will be discussed over the meetup board. If you want to present, please post a message to that effect.

We're still on for today's meetup. Potential hackfest: wrapping the OWASP Encoders project and modifying a Clojure web framework to use it.

We're downstairs -- is 6:00 PM still the right time?

Please update your RSVP for today's meetup. Due to the cold weather, I expect that some who have RSVPed yes may not attend. I'm considering canceling today's meetup if attendance will be low. I'll check the RSVP list again at 3pm.

Sorry, can't make this one - Lab holiday party trumps!

I wish I could make this next week but will be at the next one. I have over 20 permanent Clojure openings in CA right now, offering full relocation, green card and visa sponsorship. My brother Rich Hickey will also be an advisory architect on this development. Please call or email me and I will also attend the next meetup to share more details. [masked][masked]

This is totally unrelated to the upcoming meetup, but I figured this would be a good group to ask this question. A colleague of mine will be teaching an upper-undergraduate CS class on refactoring next semester. He's interested in looking into refactoring a dual-language system, and Clojure/Java seems to be a good combination. He's looking for a fairly small code base with not terribly sophisticated set of Clojure features (for instance, an extensive use of macros is out of question), and, most importantly, with a solid set of tests.
Any leads would be much appreciated. Thanks! -- Elena
