What do people think about having a meetup in Boston or South of Boston?

I have noticed that all the meetups are at RAIN, which is not all that convenient for me, and im guessing that is the same with others too. I don't think there are any country bars in Boston or south of it.. but could go to a regular bar or something else just so people can meetup with other country fans.

I agree - something in or closer to the city would be great, but places that play country are limited from what I have found. Last summer, Landsdowne had country nights on Wednesdays, but I'm not sure they are doing it again this year. I'm going to do some research and will post my findings! I would love to meet up with other country fans in Boston.

I know the cantab lounge in cambridge has live country bands on wednesday nights, and bluegrass tuesday nights....so that could be an option. http://www.cantab-lou...
I have never been there before, so i don't know what its like.
It would be nice to find a place that just DJ's country music though.
I used to go to to a place in Allston, where country 102.5 would be every week...but that bar closed.

I live on the south shore and would love to have people to go places with. I don't know where everyone is located....

Closer or in Boston would be good. I'm in Brookline and don't own a car. Prefer not to do Zipcars a lot, and that car sharing service isn't nearby.
