Come celebrate Spring at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts on April 27th! From 3--4pm on Saturday April 27th, three Master Japanese Flower Arranging Teachers will demonstrate 3 different schools/styles of Japanese Flower Arranging. This is a FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY to see 3 different schools of Japanese Flower Arranging in one hour! This event is FREE with the price of Museum Admission.
There is more! The Japanese Flower Arranging demonstration is the highlight of the Boston MFA's "Art in Bloom" Weekend from April 27--29. The Museum has invited floral arrangers to create 70 floral arrangements to be inspired by the art masterpieces they flank. Thus the Art Museum's galleries will be in "full bloom" this weekend.
There will be continuous FREE flower arranging demonstrations from Noon--3pm. There will also be a FREE "Outdoor Walk" from 1--2pm to see the MFA's Japanese Garden in resplendent Spring colors and neighboring gardens.
Also a new extraordinary Japanese exhibit just opened: Japanese SAMURAI. Thus enjoy the gentle zen of Japanese flower arranging and then explore Japans' other side: the fierce and fearless Japanese warrior.
This is a GOOD EXCUSE to go to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and enjoy Japanese culture! The Museum's hours are from 10am--5pm. I encourage you to come early to enjoy as many events that you have time for! For more details and the price of Museum admission see www.MFA.org From what I understand, if you pay full price admission, you get to have a FREE repeat visit within 10 days---that is a GOOD DEAL!
I will reserve good seats for us to view the Japanese Flower Arranging from 3--4pm. Please meet me in front of the Alfond Auditorium at 2:45pm. I will have a Japanese Flower arranging book to recognize me.
Bring your friends! Enjoy Japanese culture! Have a nice day at the MFA!
Hope to see you there! Please RSVP if interested. Thanks!
