Come and join us the third annual Silk Road Concert at Yenching Institute/Harvard. Featuring music from Iran, Turkey, Armenia, India and Japan by local musicians. These music styles and instruments are connected through the Silk Road over millennia. light refreshments available after the concert. This year we invited splendid musicians such as Mal Barsamian (Turkish/Armenian music), Mehmet Sanlikol (Turkish music), Warren Senders (Indian vocal), Isa Kagayama (Japanese drum) et al in addition to our more familiar faces such as Nima Janmohammadi (Persian music), Hemed Tabkhi (Persian music), and Sumie Kaneko (Japanese music) from the previous years.
Free admission: you may just show up without Eventbrite registration. You may have to stand and watch without seats. Try to get there early to make sure you get in. A lot of people will be expected to attend.
