have a few laughs with the Improv Asylum

Who doesn't like to laugh? Come spend a Saturday afternoon with the Improv Asylum.

"Whose Line is it Anyway? meets Saturday Night Live at sketch and improv comedy theater Improv Asylum, located in the heart of the North End. Improv Asylum introduces its newest matinee show, Afternoon Delight, featuring actors from the Main Stage cast along with alumni and NXT company actors in a hilarious fully improvised two-act show. It's an interactive experience that's different every time, brought to you by the group that's been featured on HBO and has performed at top festivals nationwide."

Tickets are normally $20, but you can get them for $10 from Goldstar (If you're not a member, then join for free at https://www.goldstar.com/join?p=F3492523N )

Here's how it works
Buy your tickets NO LATER THAN Feb 9 at http://www.goldstar.com/events/boston-ma/afternoon-delight

After you've bought your ticket, email me NO LATER THAN Feb 9. I will provide a list of names to the folks at the Improv Asylum, who will set aside a seating area just for us (normally it's general admission, first come first served).

The show ends around 5:30, so if folks want, afterward, we can grab some pizza in the North End.

We had more than a few laughs, and the post-meetup at the coffeeshop was nice too.

I know the weather guessers are calling for a few flurries. I'll call the Improv Asylum the day of to confirm they are still open. But unless they close, the meetup is still a go.

Oops! It totally escaped me that I had to buy a ticket in advance. It is sold out so I will have to cancel. Sorry about that!

Hi Mike, if I buy a ticket today will I be able to sit at table with everyone else?

    February 19, 2013

    • Mike N.

Hi Claudia -- Its theatre style seating, and when i called to confirm, they changed their story to "get here early and save seats." So yes, if you buy and confirm, I'll be glad to save you a seat.

I just bought my ticket online via their Improv Aslum web site for the full price. I was too late to purchase the discounted ticket on Goldstar. However, I am in!

In order to guarantee we can sit with the group, the nice people at the Improv Asylum has asked me to give them a head count about 10 days before the event. So, I'm asking everyone to please confirm that they've
    - Bought their tickets
    - Still plan to attend

Please confirm by posting message no later than 15 Feb. This will ensure you can sit with everyone.

    Thanks so much.
