Mingotan Project

Cross-posted with Boston World Music Group

From Ryles web site:
During his 2011 European journey, Matias (Mingo) German, conceived the idea of experimenting with musical styles like jazz, klezmer, and personal original melodies, fusing them with Afro-Argentinian sound colors & rhythmic feels for dancing like tango, milonga, candombe, chacarera, zamba, chamamé, huayno, landó, festejo, etc.

Mingo has reached out to a superb group of international musicians to make his musical dream a reality: Rebecca Kleinmann (flute), John Stein (guitar), Evan Harlan (accordion), John Lockwood (acoustic bass), Matias Mingote German (drums).

The rich stew these musicians are cooking is spiced with their unique musical personalities and the whole is a vibrant tapestry that exemplifies the best meaning of the term "world music."During his 2011 European journey, Matias (Mingo) German, conceived the idea of experimenting with musical styles like jazz, klezmer, and personal original melodies, fusing them with Afro-Argentinian sound colors & rhythmic feels for dancing like tango, milonga, candombe, chacarera, zamba, chamamé, huayno, landó, festejo, etc.

Real nice show, I'm a fan of Tango fusion, and this didn't disappoint. The show itself had an impromptu feel (mainly because the band was still deciding which song they would do next while on stage), but it was a nice informal vibe, that worked well with the audience.

Kenny, do you happen to know how late they serve dinner? I think I might wait and eat something there.

Definitely! I'll try to be there a little early to
grab a table near the front. At one point I
thought we would need 2 tables, but it looks
like one will suffice. Should be fun!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
