Beats Antique, back in Boston!

I had to mark this down now. I just found out Beats Antique will be coming back to Boston this fall, and I'm sure the show will be amazing.

Beats Antique is a fusion of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern sounds with rock, hip-hop, electronica, among other things. They bring it all together and basically tear the roof off of any live performance they give. They are probably my favorite group right now. They consist of 3 people, a drummer, another guy who plays an assortment of stringed instruments (last time I saw him, he even played an electric melodica!), and Zoe Jakes who specializes in belly-dance moves to the music, and she will also join in with the percussion by playing a drum.

For me, they have reached "must attend" status, whenever they are in town.

You can get soundclips of their work here:

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here:

Let's meet at the Paradise Cafe, the cafe to your left as you enter Paradise Rock Club, early to grab food and drink, and then let's go into the arena when the show starts!

I will be trying to get a spot near the front, so I'll be heading in the arena ~7:30pm. Chances are it will be crowded, this group is gaining in popularity, especially with the younger crowds.

Apologies for the short notice change, I just found out that doors open at 7pm, not 8pm, and the show starts at 8pm, although Beats Antique doesn't start until 10pm.

    A couple things:

-Best time to meet up is in the cafe at 7pm beforehand, once you enter the concert hall (we will try to head in around 7:30pm), it is standing room only, and very very hard to meetup at that point. It is your standard rock concert hall, so it will be very loud and dark. Perhaps when it ends (~1-ish), there will be a little time to talk as a group as well.

-I will be trying to get as close to the front as possible, but don't feel obligated to go there also. Stand where you feel most comfortable. They even have a balcony, so that may be more desirable for some.

-This is my favorite group, and chances are you might see a different Kenny tonight :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
