Dear Boston Culture Lovers,

The ICA free Harborwalk Sounds summer concert series are back again!

Admission to the museum is also free!

The concert takes place in the rear of the building, the back entrance to the museum.  There are a series of steps and a wide-space area where the musicians set-up their stage.  These steps face the water and have a gorgeous view of the Boston harbor.

For meeting purposes, lets meet at the bottom (front-row), center  of the steps at 6:30pm.

Remember, follow the WATER and to go to FRONT ROW, CENTER.  I will try to hold a Meetup sign to help you find the group.

I work really hard in finding and organizing these events for the group to enjoy, free of charge.  An expected courtesy is for members to show-up for reserved events or to communicate with the host when they do not show-up. Organizers need to have an accurate attendance count to plan events. We need to know who and how many to expect.

Please only reserve "YES" if you definitely have the intention of attending and plan to meet members of the group.

There are a lot of Meetup groups that just post events for the sake of advertisement where attendance is not important.  My events are real events hosted by a real person.  My events are designed for members to meet one another.  If you reserve "YES",  we will be expecting you.  If you have a change of plans, no problem, I only ask that you please update the attendance reservation.

A consistent history of no-shows may cause members to be removed from the group.

I look forward in enjoying this event with the group.

Groovy tunes with catchy lyrics

Wambura Mitaru blends funk, soul, R&B, jazz, hip-hop, and African sounds to create a hybrid sound that combines “groovy tunes with catchy lyrics.” The singer/songwriter has performed with her band the Wambura Mitaru Synergy at the Close Encounters Festival in Helsinki and St. Petersburg, the Boston Ahts Festival, and several other venues around Boston, including last year’s Harborwalk Sounds. Joining her this year is likeminded Nairobi native Annette “annieSoul” Oduor, a vocalist, pianist, and songwriter whose mission to showcase Africa’s diversity, creativity, and intellect has inspired performances in the U.S., South Africa, and Kenya.

Hi Joana, I did eventually make it. Left work a little later than intended. Arrive a bit after 7pm. Loved the event. Sorry I did not find you as well as the group. The event was such a pleasant experience after a long work week. Thank you so much for posting this and the work you did to have this meetup!!!

Hi Joana, I will be driving there directly from work in Haverhill. I hope to be there by 6:30. What are the best steps to take if I arrive after 6:30 to still sit with the group? Faith

We will be hanging out for awhile at the steps. I plan to hold a Meetup sign printed on yellow paper. It looks like we have a big group, so don't be shy and ask people if they are there for the Meetup.

We are expecting a beautiful weather tonight. I look forward to seeing you all the ICA. Reminder, the meeting time for our group is 6:30pm at the front-row, center outdoor steps facing the water. The plan is to meet as a group at 6:30pm hang-out for a while and depending on interest, we can go inside the museum to check-out the exhibits. The museum entrance is also free for today.

If you are no longer able to attend, please change your reservation to “not attending”, otherwise I will be expecting you. Thank you!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
