Cross Training Muay Thai Introduction

Hello Triathletes!

In this winter weather it's tough to do much triathlon training outside other than running outdoors in the slushy snow. And if you are have access to them, indoors you could limited to swimming in the pool and the bike trainer.

Well... that could get really old fast!!

For that reason, for triathletes it's highly recommended that you engage in cross training workouts in the off season to keep in shape for the triathlon season when most of what you will be doing is swimming, biking and running outdoors.

I have a good friend, Allan Martin, who owns a Muay Thai gym in Braintree called SitSuphan Muay Thai Academy and he is holding a intro class for our group at no charge (and if you enjoy it please support his business by getting a membership! Go to for more info.)

The cross training workout you'll be introduced to at this event will no doubt translate to better fitness at your triathlon(s) this year.

    The instructor Allan was great. On top of learning the proper techniques in this form of martial arts, he showed me exercises to strengthen my hip flexors for my next half marathon. Definitely a great workout for cross training!
