Monthly Meetup: The State of (Mobile) HTML5 Game Development

Pascal Rettig (@cykod) will be speak on the state HTML5 Game Development with a focus on mobile:

Since the group started almost two years ago (November 2010 to be exact) a lot has changed in the world of HTML5 Game development and it's time to look at where the industry is currently and where it's headed in what is now a yearly "State O' the Art" talk.

Since I just finished up a book on mobile HTML5 Game Development:

(Copies to be raffled off at the meetup)

The talk will put a focus on the mobile side of things, which just became relatively usable this past year with iOS 5, Chrome for Android and the upcoming Windows 8, but it will also touch on HTML5 Game Development in general including tools, infrastructure and marketing opportunities.

If you're new to HTML5 Game Development this talk should give you a good overview of the technology. Experienced devs will probably pick up some new tools and tricks especially on the mobile side of things.

There was maybe a bit too much cranky feedback while the thing was going on?
