Zero Dark Thirty

For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man.

Zero Dark Thirty Official Site - Online Ticket site when available

"Zero Dark Thirty is in fact a thrilling work of journalism come to life...This is a film about a fierce woman's pursuit to solve a problem and the people involved in the procedural tactics of getting that work done. It just happens to be that this work is based on the story of the world's greatest manhunt." - Aaron Neuwirth

As much as I'd prefer to support independent Cinema, and introduce some to the home of the best Independent Film Festival in Boston, in May, I must switch the location of this showing to the AMC Boston Common, 4:05 pm.  We can purchase tickets online, which will enable us to have tickets in hand instead of worrying about going out to Davis Square an hour before the film to avoid a sell-out.  Second, I am unable to secure confirmed reservations at a restaurant in Davis Square.  Managers have to 'call to confirm' a large party reservation, and my phone has been silent.  By viewing at Boston Common, we can go to Pho Pasteur, or another place with seating to have our discussion.

See you at the movie,

I too want to thank John for organizing the event. I'm very glad I saw this film. (I don't think "enjoyed" is quite the right word.) But I did enjoy the dinner and discussion!

I am glad you guys are seeing it at Boston Common...technically MUCH better than Kendall. I've never been to the Somerville theater.

From what I can tell, it's not possible to buy tickets online. I'm wondering what is the likelihood it will sell out, and how early we should get there. Thoughts?

Efforts to purchase advance tickets for ZDT were unsuccessful as of 11:00 pm (post Packers/Vikings game) effort through the ZDT (Sony) Official site by clicking above and Kendall Square Cinema site, which really amounts to the same thing since Sony ZDT takes you to theaters in your region. Please let me know if you have had success in your attempts and include details. Thanks. Looking forward to sharing this film!

I do not think they are on sale yet for next week. When I retrieve my ticket for this week I will check if I can buy them. If I can I will buy a couple and post how many I have.

Wish I could go but I have plans that day. However, I will organize it for the following week - so all who can't go to John's event, can come to mine. It's supposed to be marvelous!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
