I thought I should share this email msg. from Brattle Film Fnd. with the meetup group - those of us at the "Son" meetup had a conversation on the Somerville Theater being the only place one could imbibe - happily, the Brattle is joining the ranks. See link at the end to participate in a survey to choose an appropriate celebratory screening. - Lisa
Brattle Patrons To Enjoy Suds With Their Flicks! Yes, the Brattle will soon begin serving beer and wine! Dear Brattle Friends The moment we here in the office have been anticipating for months is almost upon us! We’re not sure exactly when, but, having successfully navigated the channels of bureaucracy, we can say the day is imminent when we will be adding beer and wine to our concessions menu! So what do we need from you? Why... To tell us which beer related film you want to celebrate with, of course! Do you prefer the Canadian antics of Bob & Doug Mackenzie in STRANGE BREW or the quintessentially American antics of everyone in ANIMAL HOUSE? Perhaps the surreal, retro-style of Guy Maddin’s SADDEST MUSIC IN THE WORLD is more to your taste. On the other hand, maybe the zombie infested zaniness of SHAUN OF THE DEAD is more your cup of… um… beer. And, of course, there’s the sheer madness of Broken Lizard’s BEERFEST! Whatever your preferred flavor of lager might be, we’re inviting you all to vote on which movie will be shown in a special screening with beer-a-flowing as soon as we have all of the proper permits in hand - which could be as soon as next week! Head on over to http://www.brattlefil... Best wishes, The Brattle Staff! _____ About the Brattle Film Foundation The Brattle Film Foundation operates and programs the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square.
