Meetup with Cultural Survival

Interested in working with indigenous communities? Join Boston International Volunteers and Cultural Survival for our April meetup, which will highlight volunteerism in indigenous communities. Patrick Schaefer, Director of Development, and Mark Camp, Deputy Executive Director, will discuss how volunteers can help support the rights of indigenous peoples across the world. Cultural Survival was founded in 1972 and partners with indigenous communities to defend their lands and protect their rights. Their work spans the globe but is most prominent in Central America. Their programs include the Global Response Program, the Endangered Languages Program, the Cultural Survival Bazaars and the Community Radio program. Volunteer opportunities include internships in many of their programs. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided!

I'm sorry but I don't feel well enough to come downtown tonight. I hope there will be another event I can attend to meet you all.

Hope everyone's excited for this meetup! We'll be learning about ways to get involved in indigenous communities and work on grassroots projects that are taking place across the globe. Hope to see you there!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
