Learn About Women Solo Travel 101

Hi everyone! Sorry for the temporary hiatus from hosting meetups! We here at the hostel have had a busy summer and are getting our feet on the ground. In any case, we have an exciting meetup for July with Leah Moschella, one of our awesome workshop volunteers who has traveled and volunteered extensively! She led one of our meetups in December and it was really awesome. Check out the description below!

In this HI-USA workshop, attendees will learn the basics of women solo travel. Learn more about staying in hostels to packing correctly to adapting a basic credo around respect and tolerance. Workshop leader Leah Moschella, Director of Girls Leadership, Organized Women (GLOW), will share some exciting skills, safety pointers, and general travel resources on how to get the most out of your travel experience. Additionally, she'll share tips, tricks and practical advice from her own travels on what works best for solo female travelers. This workshop will be interactive and include exercises and discussions about solo travel experiences, itinerary planning and mapping out the basics. By the end, you should feel comfortable and ready to get out there and start your first solo journey!

Wondering if this is all female get together. I'm sure it would be mostly females, given the topic, but it I might glean insight into general travel and work, eh?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
