Nichification - The Pros, Cons and Promising Future of Specialization

Legal innovation isn't just about technology. It's also about finding new ways to serve clients while building a successful law practice. One way to do that is to focus: on solving discrete problems, working with specific types of clients, or even serving particular neighborhoods.

But how do you decide where to focus? Can new lawyers build specialized practices? What can you do to gain the right expertise? How do you market that kind of practice? Can you have more than one niche? And can a specialized practice area help you branch out into other areas?

At our next meetup, we'll learn from lawyers who've built their careers on niche practices. LOMAP's Jared Correia will moderate the discussion, and our panel will include Joel G. Kinney of Fort Point Legal, which is also graciously sponsoring the event.
