Book Club Meeting!

Join us at Veggie Galaxy in Cambridge as we discuss the following book during our March meeting:

*Bitchfest: Ten Years of Cultural Criticism from the Pages of Bitch Magazine edited by Lisa Jervis and Andi Zeisler

Boston NOW's Feminist Book Club is our reading group for anybody who loves to read and identifies as a feminist. We'll be reading a variety of books that may fall into one of the following categories:

1.Written by a feminist and/or a woman
2.Plot looks at how gender, race, class, sexuality, ability/disability, ethnicity, nationality, etc. shape us and our views of the world
3.Spark conversation about social justice and gender equality
4.Have strong female characters.

But most importantly, it's a space for people to come together and discuss literature with other feminists! The club is open to both NOW members and non-members. All meetings will be on the second Wednesday of every month. If you haven't read the book, please don't be discouraged - come anyway!

I am loving reading Bitchfest. It is making me think, once again, about many feminist issues I have not thought about in a long time, and about issues I have never thought about.
