Apache Drill: Impromptu Evening Meeting with Ted Dunning

MapR has offered to host Ted this Friday evening at the Elephant & Castle. Ted Dunning will be in town for the Big Analytics event. He is leaving Saturday. He will be meeting with folks in the city at lunch and then heading to Bedford for the evening.

I realize the time and location may not be amenable to many folks. Please note we are working with MapR on an evening lecture event for some time in the next month with a couple folks from the Apache Drill team. Here's a short description that Ted provided for us:

"The Apache Drill project has generated enormous interest even though it is just barely into the Apache Incubator project. Inspired by Google's Dremel, Drill's architecture and design promises to bring many of the benefits of Dremel to the open source big data community. In addition, Drill is designed so that people can contribute on many levels without having to have expertise at all levels. I will describe how Drill is architected, how it works and how to participate."
