Our next meeting will be the first of a 2 part session focusing on creating custom families in Revit. Part 1 will provide an Introduction to Families and focus on building loadable component families. We will take it from the top so if you are new to creating families you won't want to miss this session.  Part 2 will continue with loadable families but get into "deeper" topics such as formulas and nesting families.  Think of Part 1 as "introductory" and Part 2 as "Beyond the Basics"....dare I say "Advanced"?  Here's the the planned agenda for both meetings...

Here's the link I mentioned at the meetup that lists category behaviors: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AldGdRkpk2bedElRNDZGTFdHLUZPQktqbXktY0pWU0E&usp=sharing#gid=0

It was started by Luke Johnson, who writes the "What Revit Wants" blog. Hope it's helpful! Thanks for the great intro to families presentation. Looking forward to the second half.

The Introduction to Custom Revit Families was good. It is difficult to present "live" but it was informative and there were some great questions. Many thanks to John Kinney and Eric for presenting. I am looking forward to next months Advanced Families meeting.
