Central Square, Cambridge

If you haven't come to one of these events yet, this meeting is the perfect time to begin!

While you're there, join us for a beverage, some yummy appetizers, meet new people, find out how you can contribute to the good fight for our environment. This meeting - open to all - will also have Sierra Club activists who will update us on the proposed gas tax, greater Boston transportation issues, and ways to get involved with Sierra's environmental issues!

The Senate has passed a transportation reform package and the House is supposed to take up its own version tomorrow, Tuesday, the day of our Meet-up!

When Americans are allowed to drive the same vehicles sold in Europe and Japan, we'll have no perceived dependence on non-renewables. Who's manipulating the 'free market' to prevent automakers from selling efficient turbo-diesels, biofuels and PHEVs? http://JPChance.wordpress.c...

    •  Cheerful.
    •  This restaurant setting works for smaller groups, but for a group of this size the acoustics were terrible and it was very difficult to hear other people above the ambient noise, especially since we were located close to the counter.
    •  my first time :)

I enjoyed meeting everyone who came. I was the speaker so modesty prevents me from saying this was a GREAT meet-up. I think the seating arrangements need to change as people could not hear well and mobility was difficult if you were seated inside against the wall like I was. Apologies fo not being there before everyone else.
    •  Excellent summary of the transportation bills being presented to the House and Senate.
