I'm mostly interested in learning how to scale up beyond a single machine with Scala. Storm and Spark seem to be the current leaders. I'd also like to learn about how to get things done. I'm the only Scala developer at the current job, and might be wandering in the weeds.
I'd be happy to present simple, little things I've hacked if there's interest. I'm working on using AWS SQS with Akka to avoid NAT problems, and playing around with semirings and graph minimization.
I've recently started my first Scala job, using Slick and the base libraries to analyze small social networks. In the past I've done larger-scale things with other tools, and want to learn what others do to scale up in Scala.
Looks pretty good.
