Manitoban’s come together to celebrate pet guardianship
Winnipeg, 6 May 2014 -- On June 8, 2014, over 1,500 Manitobans and their pets will come together under one roof to celebrate the joys of pet guardianship at the 2014 Manitoba Pet Expo taking place at the St. Norbert Community Centre, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pet lovers are invited to come and check out this one stop shop. Presently there are over 50 pet-related vendors, animal rescue groups, and animal advocacy groups offering merchandise, information and services confirmed for this event.
The Manitoba Pet Expo was started in 2010 and continues to grow every year. The first Manitoba Pet Expo was organized by the Boston Terrier and Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba (BTPRSM). This major event helps create awareness about the joys of pet guardianship while raising funds to assist animals in need.
Proceeds raised through the admissions fee, individual donations, as well as a raffle and 50/50 draw, will go towards the cost of medical treatment and food for dogs currently under the care of the BTPRSM.
Media are encouraged to come out for the wonderful photo opportunities that will take place throughout the day at the 2014 Manitoba Pet Expo as well as to speak to the numerous experts on hand about the joys of pet guardianship.
