“ I actually belong to the vegetarian and vegan groups - and consider myself a vegan.. It was wonderful to be in a restaurant with a group of people who will not challenge my choices for eating and lifestyle, and where I do not need to read the fine print of each and every dish on the menu to be sure I am not consuming a type of food which I have chosen not to consume. This was my first 'event' .. an 'intimate' dinner of 4. Maynard is so very friendly and positively effervescent and all were just delightful. I am only sorry it took me so long to finally make it to a meetup.. I am sold and will be at as many meetups as possilbe! This was a very comfortable, friendly and enjoyable experience! ”

“ I was hoping to meet Maynard and some of the other members, but it was just too packed to recognize anyone. Sorry, we will just have to leave work a little earlier to make it to one of the meetups. ”

“ Outstanding!! Love the folks who attend any of these groups: MARC, BVS, the Boston Vegan and Vegetarian Meetups, and bow BVA; there's never a dull moment at the Vegan Meetup! We LOVE to piggyback on BVS and MARC events, particulary these outreach events in the sunshine and then indoors with music and educational and inspirational presentations. ”

“ Greetings! Where are you? What is this group a part of? What is Meet-up? When I first heard the word meetup, I thought it was spelled meat-up and that we were giving up meat, hence the meat-UP, only later on, I found out that it was spelled meetup (with two ee's) and that it's all about meeting in groups, sounds easy enough, doesn't it?!? Well, although we're part of the meet-up we stamp out meat: "meatout;" and one of our goals is to continue refraining from eating meat. There's a huge attrition of people who were "once" vegans... Haven't you noticed that there seem to be many people around who might say "Yes" to the question of whether or not they ever tried going vegan for whatever length of time? Yes, some did feel the benefits, but still gave veganism up! We believe in giving up meat for life! Come, meet up, be part of the "wevent" we+event as Maynard said! Be in it and speak up, even if only from afar, on the other side of the country or the world, for that matter! ”
