It will be bright out for this walk since it will be almost a full moon but cold, so we'll walk fast for .8 miles each way plus walking inside the museum.
New exhibits just opening:
Christina Ramberg: Feminist painter exploring female beauty and costume.
LaToya Ruby Fraizer: Photographer, history of growing poverty and intergenerational effects in Pittsburgh in the 60s and 70s.
Meet inside South Station at Annie's Pretzels at 6:30p.
We'll walk 2 miles (.9 mile South Station to the ICA, .2 miles inside the museum, .9 mile back to South Station).
We hope to repeat this event for each new exhibit.
(Dress in layers. It will be beautiful on the Harborwalk, but cold.)
(Driving or can't do the walk? Meet walkers in front of the ticket booth inside the ICA at 6:45pm) Find free or paid parking around the ICA when the 9-5 crowd leaves. Plan for extra time when parking.)
From South Station, we'll walk on Summer Street towards the Fort Point Channel, take the first left (just before the water), and a right to the Congress Street Bridge. We'll take the HarborWalk to Fan Pier to the ICA.
Here is the route:
