Karen, not sure you got this info from my other post attempts but here are two programs that are very useful for making your own art.. http://www.humanbalance.net/gale/us/ this is good for making simple pixel art.. nutshell tutorial.. make a new image.. make it really small... like 16x16.. paint something.. this is a step above MS Paint (it has layers and can do animations, but you won't really need this stuff for game art)

now this doesn't do alpha channel stuff (transparency) from my attempts, but i use this program (since i don't have photoshop on pc) and it does a great job for free also http://www.getpaint.net/download.html this is a step above Graphics gale.. it's closer to Photoshop, but i mostly just use it to delete empty space so when you save it as a PNG it looks transparent around the objects.

Ah yea look fun tue...btw on NPR caught an add for a bee conservation group and though about your project, I forget the company name name you told use. I have not use the real onion skin mode in ages but i live in Fw 5 : ) it rocks for web graphic, you coming to the sat event?

Cool, I forgot about fireworks. I own it (mac CS5 version) I'll have to check it out. It would be nice to have "onion skinning" for pixel art as I would like to make more animations, but haven't done anything beyond simple 2 frame animations.. http://part12studios.com/games/BeeActiveWeb/ this is my latest project done in Construct 2. Will be live on various platforms over the next week (iOS will be last since it's the slowest approval time)

I have always found for design such elements, Adobe fireworks, and you do not need the current cloud version and can prob find an older copy on ebay or amazon. Its great for making png artwork and for animations you can use the layers, fade one image and work over it to make variations etc.

Great as always.. I didn't have a lot of questions this time, but had I had any, I know I'd have gotten a useful answer.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
