Berklee student and Bangladeshi-born Armeen Musa plays traditional Sufi spiritual music in celebration of her South Asian heritage. Presented as part of AIC’s Muslim Women in the Arts art and culture series. RSVP here.
About Armeen:
Armeen Musa is a singer/songwriter and arranger from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her journey in music begins from her teenage year performing in the Underground music scene in Dhaka which led to her debut album released in 2008. From Dhaka she has ventured to performing and recording in the UK, Canada and finally the US where she currently is studying at the Berklee College of Music. She has performed with many internationally acclaimed artists including Joey Blake, Bobby McFerrin, Arnob, Kishon Khan, Fazal Qureshi and Mark Mondesir. Armeen is currently producing the soundtrack of British Bangladeshi film “Shongram” and is working on an an electronica EP with Rousseau Mannan with whom she runs an online record label ME Label. Her latest EP with guitarist Zak Dylan Wass is being released in April.
