Pantagonia Boston Store Ski / Board Swap on Sunday 10/28

If you live in Boston Metro area, you may want to check out the Pantagonia Boston Store Ski Swap on Sunday 10/28 - 346 Newbury St. Boston, MA to buy or sell gear.
If you wish to sell gear, you need to register, as I did, at [masked] by sending them an e-mail. They will then send you back the details below.
I am on their FB page (https://www.facebook.com/PatagoniaBostonand they have LOTS of cool used gear for sale. If I can get over there, I will.

This is the e-mail I received from Pantagonia....

Greetings Ski Swap attendee,

Thank you for registering for your Ski Swap space with Patagonia Boston on Sunday, October 28! Please submit the attached form for each item you’re selling (no more than 8 skis/boards per person, please!) and read the following for the remaining details…
Photos: If you would like to submit photos of the gear that you are going to bring to the event (if you haven’t dropped gear off already) please send them to [masked] (please keep files under 1MB). We will be using these photos to help promote the event and your gear on our social media sites. Gear that has been dropped off we will photograph and post for you.

Day of Parking: If you’re looking for parking the day of the event, street parking is free on Sundays or there is a garage across the street from the shop: Danker and Donohue Garage, 341 Newbury Street.

Check-in: If your gear isn’t at the store already, check in will be on Sunday, October 28th between 12p – 1p. If you’ve already dropped off your gear, we’ll stage it in racks for you and you just need to turn up for the selling period (2p – 4p). Check in will take place behind the store, but just turn up to our front door as you normally would and walk straight through the store (don’t worry, we’ll have it well labeled!) If you registered and are unable to make the event, please let us know so we can pass your spot on to someone else.

Guidelines:
-- Each participant is responsible for handling their own sales transactions. Patagonia Boston does not take responsibility for any Ski Swap sales.
-- Each piece of gear must have an accompanying label (see attached)—fill these out in advance to affix to your items.
-- Sellers must be present from 2p until their gear sells
-- Patagonia Boston will not be responsible for any damage resulting from use of its gear racks. Use at your own risk.
-- Skis/Snowboards/Boots/Poles only
-- We will donate any unwanted gear to New England Disabled Sports at the end of the event (or you can bring your things back home with you—whichever you prefer).
Some Handy Tips:
-- Have a small amount of bill change on hand if accepting cash
-- If accepting PayPal and you have a smart phone, set up your PayPal account in advance of the event (many have found the ability to accept credit cards this way to be successful).
-- Bring a small towel or blanket to place below the tail of your board(s) for protection (otherwise your gear is resting on pavement).
-- Be prepared for the elements. Pack sunscreen, shades, hat, gloves, jacket, etc.
-- Bring a coffee, snack, water, etc. (we’ll have apple-cider donuts on hand as long as supplies last)
Some Tips for Selling Your Gear:
-- Let your network of friends know on facebook/twitter that you’ll be selling some gear!
-- Be outgoing. If someone is looking at your gear, don't be shy!
-- Avoid overpricing your gear. Consider what you paid when new, and then consider how much wear and tear it has.
-- It’s worth repairing damage to skis/boards ahead of the event (or at least dusting gear off and throwing a new coat of wax on skis if you can do so easily).
Contact [masked] with any questions or concerns.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
