Light Painting on the Beach Workshop w/ Guest Instructor, Joe Mak

We have confirmed our location, it is listed above, I entered the exact coordinates into the map, so please use that. It's about an hour from Boston and right off 3A in Plymouth - I had hoped for closer, but this is a great little spot and worth the commute.

Joe will use steel wool to create some amazing light painting - I've done some of this in the past and it simply amazing!!

Here is what you will need:

1. Camera that can shoot at least 30s exposures, bulb mode is desired - check your owner manual if you are not sure.

2. Tripod

3. Remote Trigger (this is optional, however for exposures over 30 seconds, it will come in very handy.)

4. Bring a variety of lens options. I favor fairly wide for this to get all the sparks, perhaps something in the 24-50mm range. Bring along your telephoto and ultra wide to get creative - this will be a blast :)

5. Bug Spray - not sure what the bug situation will be, but always good to be prepared.

Lastly - I can make no promises, but I know that Joe is expecting a very special light painting tool that perhaps he will bring along - if he does, things will go next level.

See you there!

Since location was suddenly chaned, I cannot find you at RyderWay. Jacky and I were waiting on the Cape Cod Ave and lost a lot of time. Too sad I missed this meeting due to poor organization. I checked location several times. Need to have a phone number of the
    organizer in this situation.

    Hi Dan,

Is it only the fire effect or will there be some light painting basics also?

    May 12, 2014

    • Daniel L.

He'll cover some basics as well - also I know he is expecting one of these devices in the next few weeks, which look amazing! https://www.kickstarte...
