In the spirit of the fall, we'll look at some features that will allow your models to be more colorful. UV mapping is the process of associating a 3D mesh with a 2D texture for painting it and much more. We'll go over the process of unwrapping meshes, tweaking the unwrap in the UV editor and using it in materials both plain and node based. If time allows, we'll touch on other features that use this UV map in more ways that you can imagine. Feel free to share your own knowledge after I'm done!
As usual, there will be pizza and beer. Please keep the RSVP list current. If you change your mind the day of the meeting, please visit the meeting page and change your "yes" to "no". Bring your laptop, 3 button mouse and let's have some 3D fun!
