Spring has sprung and it's time to get ready to take more pictures. But what do you do with all the pictures you've been taking? What's needed is an easy and economical method of Managing and Editing Your Digital Photos.
Using a free program from Google you can manage and edit thousands of photos. The program integrates with email, print services, and cd distribution, can sort, organize, crop, improve quality, fix blemishes, make collages and more. In short, it allows you to do 80% of what you would want to do with images while requiring only 20% of the learning and effort needed to learn Photoshop. Incidentally, it also integrates with Photoshop. I use it to manage over 90,000 photos.
A three-session course on this program (PICASA) is being offered at the Arlington Community Education center beginning Wednesday April 3rd. Space is limited, so register promptly to be assured a spot. The course is just $65 for 7.5 hours of instruction (3 sessions x 2.5 hrs each).
