What we’re about
The Boston Japanese Anime & Film Social Group is a public social group dedicated to bringing together members who are interested in all aspects of Japanese culture. As a public social group, all are welcome; however, you must be at least 18 years of age to join as required in the meetup.com guidelines. As members, we all have a common passion that links us to the group, but we are not limited to what we may see or do. Our organizers host a wide variety of events and we are always open to ideas from our members!
Some of our events include, but are not limited to, dinners at local Japanese restaurants, trips to museums and cultural exhibits/festivals, manga club, karaoke nights, mid-week anime nights, anime/film movie nights, and crafting events and more. Many of our members also attend conventions in and around New England and enjoy cosplaying. In addition to direct cultural events and activities, our group also goes on adventures together. We may go hiking, kayaking, to non-Japanese restaurants, to theme parks, etc... During these events, organizers and events host encourage and spark conversation that leads back to our love of the Japanese culture.
Overall, The Boston Japanese Anime & Film Social Group will introduce you people that are just as enthusiastic as you about Japanese culture. We are dedicated to bringing people together to have fun and make friends while enjoying the Japanese culture and other social activities, so if you are interested in meeting like-minded people, then this group is for you!
