It is cold out... but why not take advantage of the fun activities the cold has to offer us? This event will be to go snow tubing (similar to sleding) for three hours at Amesbury Sports Part at slightly before 3:30 PM (which means leaving around 2:25 PM). Due to the sunset being so early in the winter, will be aiming to be all ready to start at about 3:30 PM itself. They do have lights for when it gets dark and tubing into the sunset should be a neat experience!
Description of the place: "At Amesbury Sports Park, windswept passengers sail tubes down powdery pathways of packed snow dotting hillsides of varying steepness. The inclines boast double the number of lanes as last year, shortening wait times and decreasing the likelihood of traffic jams caused by flocks of roaming yodelers. Convenient conveyer belt lift tubes and tubees back to the top of the hill for repeat rides, and come night, twinkling lights erupt from the snowscape to guide frost-riders safely from top to bottom."
Cost: For the first 5 people other than myself, the cost will be $11 as I have a six person Groupon: http://www.groupon.com/deals/amesbury-sports-park-4 . For every additional person, the cost will be normal price, which is $24.
Transportation: If needed, I currently plan to rent a zip car and could take people with me from Kenmore station (I'd cover the cost). Otherwise if you have a car and can volunteer to ride share, please do so!
Food: The plan would be to get dinner after our adventure at some restaurant nearby.
Feel free to let me know if there is anything I left out!
