This Sunday Evening, Singer/Songwriter Krista Baroni!!
Randolph Country Club
44 Mazzeo Drive
Krista Baroni is a Boston based folk singer-songwriter with a focus on honest and lyrical songwriting.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary folk artists (Josh Ritter, Laura Marling, Gillian Welch), and singer-songwriters from the 60's and 70's (Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel), Krista combines her love of Folk, Classic Rock and Americana with her passion for poetry and prose.
In September 2012, Krista released her first full length album Oh My Magpie.
Written and recorded over a two year period at Hollow Body Studios in Boston Massachusetts, the record is a ten track collection of thoughtful, melodically and lyrically driven songs. Produced by Hollow Body Studios owner and fellow artist Doug Kwartler, the songs are supported by acoustic, and often sparse arrangements. The album flirts with hints of Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, and Rock, but finds it’s roots firmly planted in the Folk genre.
Oh My Magpie is currently being played on local and internet radio stations across the country. The title track can be heard regularly on 91.9fm WUMB, Boston’s NPR music station, and in February ‘B-Sides’ was featured on Bill Frater’s Freight Train Boogie podcast (#199) which was also shared on the No Depression website.
You can currently catch her playing acoustic shows around New England.
This is a free event which includes a complimentary snack buffet!!
