Jazz at the Fort

The annual FREE Jazz at the Fort concert is always a wonderful community event.

The featured artist is Berklee College of Music Voice department assistant chair and jazz vocalist Diane Richardson and friends.

Richardson’s melodies and lyrics radiate honesty and warmth. Her performance style includes a nod to jazz traditionalists with an appreciation of such cerebral composers as Charles Mingus, Abbey Lincoln, Wayne Shorter, and many others.

Her work with pianist John Kordalewski, drummer Yoron Israel, bassist John Lockwood, and saxophonist Lance Bryant offers the listener a perfect blend of vocal texture and instrumental generosity.

This year’s concert will be held in Marcella Park, but in the event of rain, the concert will be held at Roxbury Community College on the Mainstage Theater in the Media Arts Center

Get there when you can and stay as long as you're able.

Suggest you bring:
