On Sunday July 7th from 12pm until 3pm
Join Hike4Life for a Hiking 101 event in Franklin Park
Meeting point is the Shattuck parking lot, near the tennis courts.
Wear comfortable boots or sneakers and have water as well as bug repellant.
There will be a question and answer session and to make sure you're prepared to hit the trails.
Does and donts will be discussed as well as the benefits of hiking.
Edible plants may be found along the way.
Come out and have fun, learn something new and have a good time.
Bring your camera.
This is a very easy hike, children are welcome!
On Sunday July 7th from 4pm until 6pm
Hibernian Hall presents Ethiopian band Fendika for a FREE outdoor concert at Bartlett Yard.
The address is 2565 Washington Street Roxbury near Dudley Square.
If it rains the concert will be moved to nearby Hibernian Hall 184 Dudley Street
Bring a chair for comfort because this is concrete space.
Fendika will be joined by guest artist Kaethe Hostetter of Debo Band and an opening performance by Ethio-soul group Munit and Jörg.
Enjoy an afternoon of dance and song from Addis Ababa in Roxbury.
