Handel's "Partenope" with Boston Baroque - discounted tickets for group members!

  • This location is shown only to members

Boston Baroque is performing Handel's comic opera "Partenope" and they have offered the group 20% off ticket prices!

Partenope was Handel's first comic opera since Agrippina. It is not often performed or recorded, so this is a rare chance to get to hear the opera in full!

The cast has a number of our favorites, including Amanda Forsythe as Partenope, Owen Willetts as Arsace, and Aaron Sheehan as Emilio. The whole cast is great and this promises to be a wonderful show!

In order to get the 20% off discount, go to https://bostonbaroque.secure.force.com/ticket#details_a0SU[masked]C5fPMAS and choose seats for the Saturday show. After selecting the seats, during checkout use thediscount code BOM1012 to get 20% off. Tickets are available online until 2pm Saturday and this offer is not available at the Jordan Hall box office. Tickets will be held at Will Call to the left as you enter Jordan Hall.

I have two seats in Row AA orchestra left (first row far right facing the stage) next to the left-center aisle. There are still seats remaining for the rest of that left row (holds 7 total) and a full row just behind that one, so if you get your tickets fast we'll be able to sit together.

I am planning to attend the pre-concert talk at 6:30, probably a few rows in front of wherever the speaker is located. Look for the meetup signs!

This is a very last minute meetup, so post-concert fun is tbd. I will post here as soon as I figure something out! :) Hope you can join us!

more concert info can be found here: http://www.bostonbaroque.org/concerts.php#concert1

Please note, this is a joint meetup with Boston Classical Meetup. Please rsvp there as well if it's not too much trouble. :)

Sorry I didn't get a chance to locate the group in the first rows of the orchestra. Michelle and I found each other in the balcony. Good show!

I thought saw you across the hallway, but you were talking to someone. Hope you enjoyed the performance.

I did NOT expect to enjoy this opera as much as I did! I was grinning most of the time. Excellent orchestra and soloists. Amanda Forsythe is always a pleasure to hear, but I also loved Owen Willetts' voice. Thank you, Mike, for organizing!
