“ Didn't meet enough members from Boston Scoots to get a good idea about the general desire to merge with us in South Shore Scoots but the ones that I did meet seemed like great guys that showed positive interest in joining forces to make our events.......well, more eventful. ;-) ”

“ Great group of people who love scooting around the city. ”

“ I would like to see this group become more involved in the Politics of commuter scooters (See Wed. Breakfast Club in London -- weekly protest against 600 pound tax on commuting on scooters and motorcycles into London). I have a daughter who comes into town occasionally to work from her Boston office about 10 miles from my house -- easy commute on back roads. I like offering her my scooter to use when she is in town. This adds to my annoyance with the new laws segregating low speed scooters from mopeds, and requiring a special operator's permit, in addition to creating issues about parking like a bicycle. "Licensed motor vehicle" now leaves up to Police discretion the impounding of scooters not taking up car park spaces. The DMV says it's not about revenue, it's about speed. How fast is a scooter going when it is parked? The city of Boston should be working to promote and encourage scooter commuting. ”

“ I'm trying...but this group seems pretty dormant. Please suggest meetup ideas and I am happy to try to help pull them together ”

“ I think the more people that join in on these rides, the more fun places we'll explore. It was very fun riding as a group through the streets of Boston in our loose formation (left front rider as leader; right front rider sliding in next to the leader at stops and sliding behind single file when we started up again; etc.). There was a lot of great scooter-related chatting at stops and at the beach. ”
